Brent was mesmerized by the tractor the WHOLE time while on the hay ride, there was no comparing the big tractor and the 4 Mules that pulled the other trailer.

Cassie would love to see Brent own his own farm one day.

This is the sweetest of them all, he is so serene!

"Hurry up take the picture! She's getting ready to roll!"

The little man and his entourage looking on. He really did enjoy his ride on the pony named, Beau, though it was a spendy $2 for one lap around.

Can't resist the title of "Boys and their Toys!" It is rather fitting for these two.

The look on his face is so priceless.

Brent is in his prime when he is around any kind of utility vehicle, especially tractors!! Later I will post a sequence of pictures showing him watching the tractor tires the whole time he rode on the big tractor.

OH MY!! Our little one is growing up so fast!! He doesn't have his baby face anymore. I love this years picture, such handsome guys, there will be more pictures to come, I just wanted to show how much Brent has grown in a year! Last year, this time, Cassie was pregnant with Alice!
Note: These pictures were taken in pitch black! The first year Brent wasn't too sure about a dark maze, compared to this year, you can see the excitement all over his face!

One of Brent's favorite things to do is to pull Alice around in the wagon, and of course, Ali has no complaints! :) They are so sweet together. My favorite is when Brent starts laughing really hard and then Ali joins in because of Brent, I am going to have to attempt capturing the two of them on video. Ali already adores her brother and wants to be around him all the time...Brent loves his sister too however, you can see some frustration on his part when Ali interrupts him in anything. At first Brent would get really mad and yell and hit her however, Daniel and Cassie are doing and excellent job in teaching Brent how to control his anger and frustration and now Brent has learned how to tell Ali "no, nooo" in a nice voice and calmly claim his stolen item. It is pretty darn cute!

Here is the famous trio. It may not look like it but I think Beau secretly loves these two. ;)
Below is the video of Brent pulling Ali and Beau...the funniest part is at the end where you will see him straighten the blanket before he starts pulling again....he is is mother's son!! When ever there is something messed up Brent is there to fix it and make it look nice! What a wonderful natural habit to be blessed with.

Jess posing for the classic picture in down town Portland!

Kristine put it best, "Finding solid men is what we do in our spare time."
I love this picture!!

A lovely walk in the rain...always a photo opportunity! This has now become my favorite picture of the two of us!

Such hams! Jess and I seem to have a lot of pictures of the two of us walking on beams... makes for more adventure. Kristine caught this one at the perfect time! Way to go!

So, of course we had to ham it up a little more and again Kristine did a good job capturing the right moment!

Good times with good friends! These pictures were taken all the way back in March when our friend Jess came to visit us...the next few blogs will be catch up time for me. The first wave is us hiking up Beacon Rock (as you will note below!)

On our way up!

We enjoyed some yummy soft serve ice-cream after our hike up and down Beacon Rock! It seems to have become a tradition to go to this particular ice-cream shop after the hike. They use to make them MUCH taller for only a dollar, however, times have changed and they have shrunk for a greater price! :(

Here are a few pictures of the Kevin Morris family down in California! These were taken when Steven went down there to visit them in August.

In this picture Madeleine is around 9 months. So cute!

Kevin and Jenny on the big swings...most of these pictures were taken at a park designed for adults.

Sweet brotherly love....they are 11 months apart!!

I love this picture of Marybeth and Aedan...I think the like Uncle Steven's motorcylce! :)
BTW...we get to see them for Thanksgiving!!!! YEAH!!! They will be heading up here and spending a week with us. I am looking forward to having the whole family together again...it is fun to see the Morris family grow!!

Brent turned 3!!! My nephew is growing so fast!!! (thanks to Uncle Steven for the pictures...Auntie forgot hers!)

A gift from Uncle Steven! ;) The sweetest thing was when Brent would search out the person that got him the gift in order to look them in the eye and say "Thank you!" Such a sweet boy!

A group event! If I am correct in saying, this was Brent's first time with all the fun rides and activities in a video game arcade. He had quite the entourage of onlookers and I believe he enjoyed every moment of it!

Good times with good friends! Brent had a lot of fun at Pietro's Pizza, there was so much to do and see!

Alice is getting so big. She can already scoot around on her tummy, pull herself up from laying to sitting, clap her hands, wave goodbye, give kisses and on and on!! It never ceases to amaze me how much they can learn at such a young age!

Mmmmmm, yummy hair!

Brent Update

Brent flying high!! He had a BLAST...though it made others a little nervous. The middle picture looks as if Brent is being handed down from heaven. ;) Or taken up and Dad is having a hard time letting go.

Uncle Steven, Dad and Brent. Uncle Steven dropped by for a visit while the Daniel Morris Family was enjoying a vacation at the beach!

Brent is happiest when he is around any kind of truck or utility vehicle! Especially the big ones!

When ever I need a good laugh I can always count on my nephew to give it to me! He has the funniest disposition and cracks us up with even the smallest of comments. He is a boy of few words but, he KNOWS how to get his point across. However, if there happens to be a time when no one is listening to him he has figured a way to GET the attention in order to get his point across. In the first video I am trying my best to get him to demonstrate but, it is with no avail. He just laughs at me!

In this video (which happened right after the previous video) he surprises me with the 'attention getting' sound and, even though it isn't as funny as when he does it nonchalantly in his own conversations, it still makes me laugh. In a typical circumstance Brent will start asking someone a question (usually that person is engaged in another conversation)and he will repeat his question a few times, once he realizes no one is listening he will throw in his little "eww-whoo" with out so much as a smile on his face, and then continue on with his question. I admit, I laughed HARD the first time he did it, oh wait, I still laugh hard, but, I do realize it needs to be nipped in the bud and he needs to understand that it is disrespectful...I laugh inside though. Man he cracks me up!!

Ali Update
So precious! Alice is such a joy. She keeps us all smiling with her lovely charm. I have been praying that, lordwilling, my own children will be as lovely as her. She is a happy baby all around!

Sitting pretty...she loves to bang and kick her feet on the hardwood floor...she isn't crawling yet but she is very close to it.

<---- Ali and her tongue... just as most every baby
does, Alice has found her tongue very fascinating! She just happens to have a little flare to go with it. So cute!

Auntie Melinda with my precious little niece ---->

Ali found a game she can play! She loves the game Peek-a-Boo and we love to play it with her.

Bippity-Bippity-Bop
Hours of entertainment

<--------Kristine demonstrates and educates those that are first timers for the wonderful game of Bippity-Bippity-Bop.
Matthew does his best to make us mess up! It was a tough crowd to beat. -------------->
<----------Success! Most likely Micheal was laughing so hard he didn't even realize the finger was pointed at him! :)
We all had many hours of laughs while playing this crazy and silly game! It became a camp favorite over night! Thanks to Kristine for the idea and for teaching it to everyone! :)

The Joys of Camping in the Rain

<-------Pastor Custis throwing the frisbee with skill!!!

During some down time Mrs. Injerd and I taught some of the girls the fun game of cats cradle ---------->

The food was excellent, though we were cold and wet, a majority of the time, we certainly did not go hungry! Thank you Mom for improving the meals from canned to homemade!

<------Kristine enjoying her 'quite time' inside a dry tent!

Me peeking in to say hello ----->

A few pictures to show you the wonderful job done in covering our main campsite. The faithful members of our crew had JUST taken the other tarps down in order to put new ones up and cover more area when the torrential down pour hit!!! Unfortunately, they were left alone (about this this time all of us had JUST made it to the top of the hill. A 2 mile ride just to get out of the campground) to create a 'ceiling' out of tarps, ropes and trees; not necessarily grown in the 'perfect' place, in order for us to have shelter from the rain during our meals and the teaching. Needless to say, they rose to the challenge!!
